The legendary Adebayor, who has played for clubs like Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid, is currently a free agent after leaving Paraguayan side Olimpia in July due to complications arising from the coronavirus pandemic.
The 36-year-old now appears to be ready to make a return to the game and has hinted that his next move could be a surprise return to Africa, having admitted to having an interest in joining Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko.
“In life, when I was young, I never thought I will play for Real Madrid in my whole entire life. I never thought I would even be once on the TV in my life, but at the end of the day, I have been there,” Adebayor said, as reported by AfricanFootballHQ.
“Kotoko is a team [where] I already have one friend there now. I have family, I know the CEO so I will never say never. I may decide to retire in Ghana or I may decide to be part of the board.”
