African Knockout – The AKO TV Reality show launches in Nigeria

The African knockout Reality TV show is poised to change sports entertainment in Nigeria as the show launches on November 1.

The AKO Show is a platform launched to discover the next Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Champion in Nigeria.
Mixed Martial Arts is one of the fastest-growing sport in the world, with the biggest sports promotions like the UFC, Bellator, Rizin Fighting Federation, ONE Championship and more, it is a full combat sport that involves techniques from a variety of different martial arts styles which includes boxing, kickboxing, jiu-jitsu, judo, Thai boxing etc.

MMA has become popular with Nigerians and Africans generally with the emergence and dominance of two Nigeria -born World Champions, New Zealand Pro and World champion in the Ultimate Fighting Championship(UFC,) Israel Adesanya with an undefeated record of 20 wins and no losses and USA Pro, Kamoru Usman.

Usman also known as “the Nigerian Nightmare” is UFC Welterweight Champion.


 
The AKO Show is a combination of sports and entertainment, with 2 teams of fighters, living and interacting with each other for 9 weeks trained by top professional MMA Coaches with a final live event in December 2020, at Landmark Center the Official Fighting Venue.
It will also feature rigorous training sessions, fun challenges, drama and visits from celebrities.
 
The show’s soundtrack AFRICAN KNOCKOUT featured by M.I Abaga and produced by Chopstix will be released on iTunes. Okey Bakassi will be the show host for this season.
 
The AKO Show will be broadcast on both DStv and GOtv platforms across 46 African countries on SuperSport Action, SuperSport Variety and SuperSport Blitz and will premiere across all TV stations on Sunday, November 1st, 2020.
