Bundesliga wrap: Bayern break more records

German champions, Bayern Munich have continued breaking all sorts of records as they recorded 3-1 victory over Freiburg on Saturday.
It represented a club-record 15th straight win in all competitions for the Bavarians.
Bayern’s stunning win also means that the Bavaria club have not lost in any competition since back-to-back defeats to Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Monchengladbach in December.
RasenBallsport Leipzig was the last team to deny Bayern, victory which Hansi Flick’s charge’s side’s winning run stretching to February.
Joshua Kimmich netted Bayern’s opener in the quarter hour before Robert Lewandowski netted twice with Lucas Hoeler’s consolation for the visitors sandwiching the Pole’s brace.
Lewandowski’s brace saw him break the record for most Bundesliga goals in a season by a non-German player.
His double took him to 33 for the campaign, surpassing the 31 scored by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for Borussia Dortmund in 2016-17.
Meanwhile, Jamal Musiala came on as a second-half substitute, becoming the youngest player to appear for Bayern in the Bundesliga at 17 years and 115 days old.
Second-placed won 2-0 at third-placed RasenBallsport Leipzig with Erling Braut Haaland netting a brace while Borussia Mönchengladbach gave their UEFA Champions League qualification hopes a massive boost with a 3-1 win at the bottom club, SC Paderborn 07.
Lars Stindl scored twice for Mönchengladbach who have now moved up to fourth while Patrick Herrmann made the first goal scoring contribution for the victors at the Benteler-Arena with Sven Michel scoring the consolation for the vanquished side.
Bayer Leverkusen slipped to fifth following a truly damaging 0-2 defeat to tenth-placed Hertha BSC with Matheus Cunh and Dodi Lukebakio scoring the goals at the Olympiastadion.
Relegated sides, Fortuna Düsseldorf, Werder Bremen and SC Paderborn 07 all failed to win with Fortuna the only side to avoid defeat following a 1-1 draw at home to Augsburg.
The point recorded at the Merkur Spiel-Arena mathematically guaranteed Augsburg Bundesliga safety for at least one more season.
