Germany’s football federation (DFB) is reportedly lining up Bayern Munich head coach, Dieter Hansi Flick as a potential successor to the country’s national team coach Joachim Löw.
Löw’s position has again come under intense scrutiny after Germany’s scandalous 6-0 loss to Spain in the UEFA Nations League on Tuesday.
German news outlet, Bild is now reporting that Löw could soon be replaced by former assistant Flick.
“The name of Hansi Flick has been discussed at the DFB as a potential successor for Joachim Löw if the latter leaves after the Euros,” the publication reported on Wednesday.
“Flick maintains contact with the people in charge there and the DFB do not rule out his willingness to take over the job.

“On the other hand, Bayern have fears over the situation. Despite his ongoing contract until 2023, Flick is building up a lot of frustration especially after the contract situation of Alaba and the latest decision regarding Boateng.”
Löw replaced Juergen Klinsmann shortly after the 2006 FIFA World Cup which Germany hosted and reached the last four.
He went on to lead the team to World Cup glory in 2014.
