Gary Lineker believes Jurgen Klopp can inspire another title run with Liverpool, following suggestions the Reds’ Premier League title victory was a one-off event.
Lineker used social media to comment, saying Liverpool had already shown in the last season they can up the ante by going from narrowly losing out to Manchester City in 2018/19 despite finishing with 97 points, to actually winning with a 23 point lead over Man City – and that while winning the Uefa Champions League in the intervening period
Lineker admitted he expects all the other contenders to strengthen their teams as they try to wrestle back control but he is certain Liverpool can sustain their remarkable progress and achieve even more.
