Nigerian Striker, Odion Ighalo who is currently on loan at Manchester United has been offered a two-year contract extension worth more than £400,000 per week by his Chinese Club, Shanghai Shenhua.
The deal is Shanghai’s appreciation of his good returns which has seen Ighalo plunder four goals in his first three starts for Manchester United.
Ighalo is on contract until May 31, 2020 but it is believed United are now looking to offer him a permanent move.
Ighalo has always touted his dream was always to play for United, a Club he has supported and now may be forced to choose between potentially taking further paycuts to remain at United or go back to China where he stands to earn even more.
His current contract expires in December 2022 and Shanghai has now extended it until December 2024.
