Nigerian striker, Odion Ighalo is set to join Saudi Arabian club, Al-Shabab.
Ighalo has been on loan at Premier League giants Manchester United since January 30.
He made a sparkling start to life at the Old Trafford club, netting three times in FA Cup games against Derby County and Norwich City and twice in the UEFA Europa League against Club Brugge and LASK.
With football suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic and Ighalo’s loan set to expire at the end of May 2020, on 1 June Manchester United announced that they had agreed to extend the attacker’s loan deal until 30 January 2021.
On 26 January 2021, Ighalo posted a farewell message on social media, ahead of his imminent departure from Manchester United at the end of the month.
Manchester United confirmed Ighalo’s departure the following day.
But Sky Sports is now reporting that the 31-year-old is poised to join Al-Shabab.
Ighalo is presently on the books of Chinese club Shanghai Greenland Shenhua.
He has previously played for clubs like Udinese, Granada, Cesena, Watford and Changchun Yatai.
