Italian club, Internazionale Milano are reportedly working on the renewal of Lautaro Martinez’ contract.
The 23-year-old Martinez joined Inter from Argentinean club, Racing in 2018 and six times in Serie A in his debut 2018/19 campaign.
He netted 14 times in the league the next season and has already netted three times in Serie A this term.
Martinez and his representatives are expected in Milan after the international break with respected Italian publication, Il Corriere dello Sport reporting that the Argentine, who contributed one goal and one assist against Real Madrid this week in the UEFA Champions League, will begin the contract negotiations after the upcoming national break.
The 23-year-old has scored four goals and contributed two assists in nine games across all competitions this term and his current deal expires in June 2023.
The Argentina international has long been linked with a move to Barcelona and the Nerazzurri are prepared to offer him a bumper new deal to keep him at the Giuseppe Meazza.
