Liverpool reportedly snap up Thiago Alcantara

Liverpool FC have reportedly agreed a four-year contract with Bayern Munich for Spanish midfielder, midfielder Thiago Alcantara, according to a journalist who follows Bayern closely.

Liverpool has been the suggested new home for the 29-year-old regularly in recent weeks. Journalist Mohamed Bouhafsi, who works with RMC Sport, claims that Alcantara has already told some of his Bayern teammates that he will be on the move this summer – in addition to deciding his new home in the North West of England.

The final step for the transfer to happen requires both Liverpool and Bayern to come to an agreement on a fee. A €30 million price tag was recently mooted for the player, who joined Bayern in 2013. That what would be an absolute steal of a transfer.

Liverpool’s midfield options in their recent Champions League and Premier League successes have been solid but they would be strengthened significantly by the former Barcelona man, who is quite possibly the best in the world in his position.

Thiago dropped an absolute masterclass on Friday (August 14) as Bayern destroyed Barca 8-2, with his no-look assist, in particular, getting Liverpool supporters excited.
