Liverpool have completed two major signings in a spate of just two days. The Reds followed up the signing of Thiago Alcantara with the significant acquisition of 23-year-old Portugal striker Diogo Jota from Wolves on a five-year contract valued at £41 million (and up to £45 million with add-ons).
Liverpool’s young Dutch defender Ki-Jana Hoever has moved to Wolves as part of the deal for £9 million.
Diogo Jota said:
“When you look at the Premier League, you always see Liverpool as one of the biggest teams in the country, so it’s impossible to say no,”
“I think I am a team player. I play up front and my job is to find a way to score goals and to provide assists and that’s what they can expect from me – that I will always do my best.
“I will always try to help the team in the best way possible.”
