Manchester United have agreed a fee in the region of £40m for Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek. This puts United in pole position to sign the Dutch International and agree personal terms. A medical that would seal the deal could be concluded in a few days.

Once the deal is concluded, Van de Beek is expected to be available for United’s opening game of the 2020-21 season on September 19, against Crystal Palace. Van de Beek was left out of the Ajax team that played friendlies against Eintracht Frankfurt and Union Berlin over the weekend.
