AC Milan have officially announced the signing of Croatian striker, Mario Mandzukic.
The attacker will wear the club’s No 9 and arrives with an intimidating record of success in his professional career.
The former Juventus striker has signed a deal that will run until the end of 2020-21 season with an option to extend for a further year.
Milan confirmed the news on Twitter on Tuesday.
“We have a new No9,” Milan wrote on their official Twitter account. “Welcome Mario Mandzukic.”
The club wrote in an official statement: “AC Milan are delighted to announce the signing of Mario Mandžukić. The Club and the striker have agreed on a deal until the end of the current season with an option to extend the contract for the next one.”
Mandzukic returns to Serie A after a stint with Qatari side Al-Duhail, where he scored one goal in seven games.
He left Juventus last January, after having played 162 games with the Bianconeri, scoring 44 goals in the process.
He was also part of the Croatia team that reached the final of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
