Kylian Mbappe has spoken about his future following an extraordinary performance which inspired PSG to a 4-1 UEFA Champions League victory over FC Barcelona on Tuesday.
Mbappe netted a hat trick as the French champions romped to a comprehensive win in the first leg last 16 tie at Camp Nou.
The young attacker has been severally linked with a move to Liverpool and Real Madrid and he took the time to address the rumours after the game.
“It will be stupid to decide my future on a single match,” Mbappe told RMC.”The truth is that it is about reflecting for the long term.
“I have always said that I am happy here. This sort of match makes me even happier.”
Mbappe’s performance in Catalonia will only intensify speculation over his future as he enters the final 18 months of his deal with PSG.
PSG now look to be in prime position to reach the quarter finals following the emphatic victory on Tuesday.
Barcelona will need to score four goals at Parc des Princes to stand any chance of making progress in the competition.
