Nasarawa United have moved to the top of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) standings following a 2-1 victory over Heartland FC at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri on Sunday.
Chinedu Ohanachom scored the opening goal of the contest for the Solid Miners in the 14th minute but Shedrack Oghali levelled things up for the Naze Millionaires in the 63rd minute.
Adamu Hassan however struck a dagger into Heartland hearts with 16 minutes remaining as the Lafia club romped to the top of the standings with maximum points amassed from their opening two games of the season.

Mohammed Abubakar scored the opening goal of the contest for the visitors in the 25th minute but Dakkada hit back through goals from Aniekan Ekpe and Solomon Chigozie as the Uyo side completed their first win of the season.
Lobi Stars registered their first win of the season as Ossy Martins scored the only goal of the game in the 71st minute with MFM FC put to the sword at the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi.
Sunshine Stars got their first victory of the season as they overpowered FC Ifeanyiubah 1-0 at the Akure Township Stadium.
