NPFL Match Day Two Preview; Rivers United look to stay perfect

The programme for match day two of the 2020/21 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) commenced on Saturday with Rivers United facing Abia Warriors in Aba.
Rivers United won their opening game of the season against Enugu Rangers 1-0 in Omagwa with Fortune Omoniwari scoring the winner.
The Warriors on the other hand suffered a 1-0 defeat to eight-time champions, Enyimba International at their stately patch.
Head coach of Abia Warriors, Imama Amapakabo expects an exciting context to play out on Saturday.
“Playing against Rivers United will represent an exciting game as they are on the continent. We had a friendly game against them but no two games are the same. I know it will be another exciting game,” Amapakabo said after the defeat to Enyimba on Match Day One.
Lobi Stars were beaten 1-0 in Nnewi by FC Ifeanyiuba on the opening weekend of the season and will be looking to make up lost ground when they face MFM FC at the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi.
Adamawa United dropped two points at home in the 1-1 draw against Kano Pillars last time out.
United are in Ozoro, Delta State where they face Warri Wolves while Sunshine Stars and FC Ifeanyi Ubah go toe to toe Akure.
There can be no margin for error for Dakkada FC in their home fixture against Jigawa Golden Stars which will be decided at the picturesque ‘Nest Of Champions’, the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo.
Rangers International have a chance to register on the board on Sunday but they face an extremely solid Akwa United side at the Nnamdi Azikiwe, Enugu.
Plateau United lost 0-2 at home to Kwara United and will be desperate to get back to winning ways when they make the short trip from Jos to Bauchi to face Wikki Tourists.
