NWFL three points or nothing against Osun, says Osahon

FC Robo Queens’ manager, Emmanuel Osahon has vowed to pocket the three points at stake in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership matchday 2 clash against Osun Babes on Wednesday at the Legacy Pitch, National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.

Both sides emerged the only winners on the road in last week NWFL Premiership matchday 1 opening matches.

Hosts, FC Robo Queens subdued former champions, Nasarawa Amazons with one unreplied goal in Lafia while the Osogbo side piped Ibom Angels with one unanswered goal in Uyo to pave the way for the ‘winners’ clash.

Osahon said he has put his wards in good form and mood to further subdue their opponents irrespective of the expected tough challenge coming from the visitors.

“As they come so shall they fall one after the other, Osun Babes will not be an exception among the teams that will fall heavily this time around.

“Their morale is certainly high after a heart-warming victory last week at Uyo against the home sides, Ibom Angels, they will want a repeat performance but be rest assured that we know perfectly how to handle them.

“Osun Babes posed a hard nut to crack the last time we engaged them here in Lagos but that was under a different scenario entirely.

“Though we engaged recently right there in Osogbo in a friendly which we lost with a lone goal.

“I told everyone who cares to listen then that the loss was an eye opener to our preparation for the league.

“Right now I can only say that we know and understand them quite better and when we get to the bridge we will perfectly cross it.

“The whole three points will be in our kitty after 90 minutes to add up the away points at Nasarawa Amazons in Lafia.

“The players are in perfectly mood and shape for the clash having recovered fully from the hectic journey to Lafia.

“They will all be ready and sound to give good account of themselves in the clash already tagged ‘game of winners’,” said Osahon.

The Lagos side are fifth on the 14-team top-flight log on three points while the visitors are sixth on three points, too going into the epic clash on Wednesday.
