Rivers Angels head coach, Edwin Okon has vowed to return the team to its pre-eminence on the top-flight log.
The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership will restart on Wednesday, February 10 after one month hiatus with the Port Harcourt heading to Uyo to face neighbours, Ibom Angels in matchday 5 clash.
Okon who admitted that no pushovers exist in the NWFL Premiership promised to restart the league on a winning note.
“We are going back to where we rightly belong on the league table which is the summit and to stay put till the end of the campaign.
“We understand quite well that no team in the NWFL Premiership is a walkover so we are preparing for the encounter like we are up against the best team in the world.
“Our main target in the encounter is the whole three points at stake to further our goal to take over the leadership of the league.
“We want to announce the league restart prominently on a resounding winning note,” said the former Nigerian manager.
The Jewels of Rivers are third on the 14-team Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership log on eight points four behind league leaders, Bayelsa Queens.
