Victor Osimhen scored another hattrick on Friday (September 4) when SSC Napoli beat Teramo in a friendly game as the Partenopei shaped up for the start of the 2010/21 season. Osimhen netted in the 4th, 61st and 65th minutes as Gennaro Gattuso’s charges won in convincing fashion at Stadio Teofilo Patini (Castel di Sangro).
It was Osimhen’s second hattrick for Napoli in as many friendlies.
The Nigerian international had also plundered a treble in his first Napoli game as they won 10-0 win against fourth-tier club, Castel di Sangro on August, 29, 2020. Gattuso rates Osimhen and believes the young Nigerian attacker provides several options for the Neapolitans.
“Osimhen is a striker who gives us various game alternatives, we have the ability to change our style,” Gattuso told the club’s official website.
“He knows how to attack spaces, has physical strength and will certainly give us a big hand.
“Obviously my staff and I have tactical ideas in our heads. We have quality players and we will analyze how the team will line up.”
Osimhen will likely make his official debut for Napoli on September 20 in the Serie A clash against AC Parma at Stadio Ennio Tardini.
