Nigeria women’s national team striker, Rasheedat Ajibade has joined Spanish club Atletico Madrid Femeno.
The 21-year-old has signed a deal that will see her remain with the Rojiblancos until 2022.
Ajibade’s capture is expected to bolster the Atleti Femeno attack as he credentials for club and country is formidable.
Ajibade is a physical specimen whose game exemplifies power, an intensity and she has a good eye for goal.
A model of versatility, Ajibade can also play as a winger and as an offensive midfield.
Ajibade began her professional football education at FC Robo, a club she would go on to serve as captain.
The Nigerian attacker joined the ranks of the Norwegian team Avaldsnes IL in May 2018 and made important inroads which pave the way for a move to Spain.
She expressed happiness upon the completion of the deal with the Spaniards.
“It is a great privilege and an opportunity to be here. I am excited to be a part of this team and hope that together we achieve success. It is a great step in my career and a great challenge for me and I am willing to give it my all ”. In addition, Ajibade said: “I am a versatile, versatile, energetic and hard-working player.”
