The Restoration Girls piped the Lagos Landladies 1-0 in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership matchday 3 clash at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.
The lanky markswoman and former Ibom Angels’ decisive goal in the 53rd minute proved adequate to hand the side the maximum points as well as 100% record in the three-week old top-flight closing activities for the year.
Reuben said her side met their expectation going into the new year as leaders and unbeaten in the 14-team top-flight.
“I feel so excited and happy scoring the match winner for my side as well as maintaining the 100% record going into the New Year.
“Of course, the match was tough as FC Robo Queens came with the mind set to pull a draw so they did everything to achieve their goal.
“We thank God that we were able to subdue them to earn the whole three points at stake in the match.
“We feel great going into the New Year being on top of the log especially with our 100% record intact.
“That has always been our plan to stay at the top of the log till the end of the season, win the league title and represent Nigeria at the maiden Caf Women’s Champions League,” said the Nigerian goal queen.
The Yenagoa side are at the summit of the 14-team top-flight log on nine points two above closest challengers, Edo Queens.
