Portuguese superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo has declared that he has no intention of leaving Italian giants Juventus despite speculation linking him with a move away from the club.
Italian publication Tuttosport reported on Saturday that Ronaldo remains in contact with the club management and is training hard in his home, Madeira, Portugal.
Ronaldo has been in his homeland following the suspension of Serie A as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
Ronaldo has reportedly stated that he will return to Italy to join Juventus and resume training as soon as a resumption date of Serie A is announced.
It was reported in some sections of the media that Ronaldo has been mulling a departure from Juventus following the severe impact the coronavirus has had on Italy as a country.
There have been over 190,000 reported coronavirus cases in Italy with over 26,300 deaths documented.
Ronaldo’s “excellent relationship” with the Bianconeri and the close attention the club has paid to its players were reasons quoted for him remaining with the team.
Paris Saint-Germain has been mentioned regularly as one of Ronaldo’s many suitors and recent rumours have linked him with his former club, Manchester United, although the Portuguese player still has two years left on his current contract.
