Sundowns are Absa Premiership Champions

Mamelodi Sundowns have won the Absa Premiership title after beating Black Leopards 3-0 at Dobsonville Stadium in Soweto on Saturday (September 5) while rivals Kaizer Chiefs failed to beat Baroka at the Bidvest Stadium as the PSL wrapped up the 2019/20 season.

Black Leopards will now have to battle for their PSL survival in the promotion / relegation playoffs where they will face the winner of the Ajax Cape Town and Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila playoffs.

Lebohang Maboe of Sundowns scored a remarkable hat-trick to shoot them to 59 points, two clear of Kaizer Chiefs and a 10th league title in the Premier Soccer League era.
