Sunset promenade fun for road runners as Green Point Lighthouse points the way

Andre Afrika and Bianca Tarboton were the cream of the crop at the Crazy Store Lighthouse 10km this week as over a thousand runners made use of perfect late afternoon conditions to enjoy an out and back run along the Atlantic Seaboard.

Tymebank Langa athlete, Afrika, took his first road title of the year, finishing 28 seconds ahead of Fat Cats Running Club’s Edwin Chibombo in 31 min 01 sec, after finishing a close second to British trail athlete, Robbie Simpson, at the Bay to Bay 15km in January, while adidas TERREX trail athlete, Tarboton, finished 9th overall to record a personal best time of 35:27, 24 seconds clear of German trail athlete, Marion Leiberich.
