Nigerian winger, Victor Moses is facing an uncertain future after the former Nigerian international moved on loan from Chelsea to Inter Milan, in January.
Moses has struggled to hold down a first-team place while in Italy, making just seven appearances, mostly as a substitute in Antonio Conte’s side.
The 29-year-old has also had injury problems, failing to stay fit and not being a major part of the Nerazzurri set up before Serie A was halted due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.
It is understood that Inter communicated with Chelsea and were told that it would cost around £10.75m to seal a permanent transfer. The SUN however reports that the Italian club would only be willing to pay around £6 million, due to financial constraints related to the pandemic.
However, Conte is reportedly a big fan of Moses and could ask his old club whether Inter can have him on loan for the whole of next year. This despite the ex-Liverpool ace making just three starts and four sub appearances in Inter’s current, corona-interrupted campaign.
Moses’ contract at Stamford Bridge runs until the summer of 2021, but he is not in any of Frank Lampard’s plans for next season.
Meanwhile, Ashley Young is set to stay in Milan and sign a fresh one-year deal after an impressive first spell in Italy. The 34-year-old is out-of-contract in June, but the Nerazzurri have an agreement with the former Manchester United captain over fresh terms. The ex-England full-back is happy at the club and was a regular in the side before the enforced coronavirus break.
Inter are also looking at bringing in another left-back this summer, with Chelsea duo Emerson Palmieri and Marcos Alonso on their shortlist.
