Vision FC promoted to Rwanda Premier League

Vision FC

Vision Football Club and Rutsiro FC have both been promoted to the Rwanda Premier League also known as Primus National League with one game remaining in the second division league playoffs.

Vision FC earned their spot despite losing 2-3 in an explosive fixture with Intare FC as Shyorongi but it was made irrelevant due to the result of the other fixture

Rutsiro FC’s 2-0 win over AS Muhanga at Mucyebera Stadium meant Muhanga have no chance Mathematically to catch up with both Vision FC or Rutsiro.

The result means a return to the topflight for Rutsiro but for Vision FC, this is a historic moment for the 15 years old Club.

John Birungi, President, Vision FC

Vision FC President, John Birungi was a relieved Man after several attempts to win promotion

“We are all very happy for our Players, our Coach and staff but also our fans and our Partners who have worked hard to achieve this historic moment.”

“We are now looking forward to the final game on Saturday to crown what has been a phenomenal season.”

Vision FC will host Rutsiro in the final game at the Pele Stadium on Saturday in a game that will decide the second division championship

AS Muhanga will host Intare FC in a game that is now inconsequential based on the results from yesterday.
