Aduku targets 100% NWFL Premiership performance

Bayelsa Queens head coach, Moses Aduku has promised to keep intact his side 100% performance so far in the ongoing top-flight against equally 100% record holders, FC Robo Queens.

The Restoration Girls will host the Lagos landladies in Wednesday’s Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership matchday 3 clash at the Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.

Both top-flights were victorious in NWFL Premiership matchday 2 clash going into Wednesday’s matchup, while the hosts, Bayelsa Queens stunned former champions, Nasarawa Amazons 2-1 in Lafia the visitors, FC Robo Queens decision Osun Babes 3-1 in Lagos.

Aduku said his lofty dream is to keep the unbeaten record as far as it takes the side to win the league crown and win for themselves the ticket to represent the country in the maiden CAF Women’s Champions League in 2021.

“Ninety minutes will decide where the pendulum will swing, 90-minute is quite critical in football but I pray that God will give me victory.

“And by the grace of God I want to keep the unbeaten record intact, I want to keep it as long as God continues to give me victory, I will like to continue winning continuously, that’s my desire, I do not want the winning streak to break.

“If I should seek the mind of God I will tell God to allow it continue this way, winning is sweet and everybody wants to win.

“In this league everybody is prepared, no minnows and that’s why a team can leave Osun to go to Akwa Ibom to get victory, a team can leave Lagos go to Nasarawa to get victory.

“The league is quite interesting, the league is good for us because there is something at stake this time around and everybody wants to win and qualify to represent Nigeria at the CAF Women’s Champions League.

“The CAF Women’s Champions League has become a motivating factor on all the teams to strive for victory.

“Robo Queens have some experienced players in their fold, the clash is going to be wonderful and hotly contested.

“I’m going to approach it tactically to make sure as much as I will want to attack I will also want to defend. I will leave nothing to chance to claim victory in the game,” said Nigeria’s U-17 women team (Flamingoes) head coach.

The Yenagoa side are third on the 14-team top-flight log on six points same as the opponents placed second with superior goals in the two-week old first tier league.
