Eto’o stable after car crash

Cameroun and FC Barcelona legend Samuel Eto’o was involved in a horrific car crash on Sunday (November 8) but is said to be in a stable condition.

Eto’o, who is a four-time African Footballer of the Year, was travelling in his home country on the Nkongsamba-Douala road and was reportedly returning from a wedding when the incident occurred. The SUV he was in was involved in a head-on collision with a public transport bus and the front of the vehicle was crushed, according to local media reports.

Eto’s is said to have suffered a head injury as a result.

The former Indomitable Lions player was taken to hospital where he is said to be in a stable condition and is being monitored closely after undergoing several tests.

France Football has confirmed that there were no casualties in the horrific collision, while the special advisor to CAF president Ahmad Ahmad has declared Eto’o is ‘okay’.
