Henrik Larsson joins Barcelona coaching staff

Former Sweden and Barcelona striker, Henrik Larsson has re-joined his old club as part of the staff of new coach, Ronald Koeman, himself a Barcelona legend.

Larsson, 48, who signed a two-year deal, played for the Catalans between 2004 to 2006, winning two La Liga titles and the Uefa Champions League and is also a former teammate of Koeman at Feyenoord between 1995-1997.

He will be joined on Koeman’s staff by former FC Twente and Hoffenheim coach, Alfred Schreuder.

Koeman succeeded former Barcelona coach Quique Setien who was sacked after Barcelona’s shock 8-2 defeat to Bayern Munich in the Uefa Champions league semifinals in Lisbon.
