La Liga wrap: Atleti keep their noses in front

Atletico Madrid remained top of La Liga Santander on Saturday after recording a hard fought 1-0 win over Elche on Saturday.
Yannick Ferreira Carrasco’s smart cutback was smacked home from point blank range by Marcos Llorente on 23 minutes via the aid of a deflection.
Luis Suarez thought he’d given La Rojiblancos the lead just after the quarter hour at Estadio Martinez Valero but the effort was correctly ruled out for offside.
Atleti are still top of the the standings with 76 points from 34 games.
Real Madrid are second after recording a 2-0 win over Osasuna at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano.
Eder Militao and Casemiro netted late in the second half to hand Los Blancos the win and keep them firmly in the title race.
The bottom club, Eibar remain rooted to the bottom of the standings despite a brilliant 3-0 victory over Deportivo Alaves at Estadio Municipal de Ipurua.
Kike was the hero for the hosts as he netted a fantastic hattrick to guarantee maximum points for his team.
Alaves are in 16th after the heavy loss having amassed 31 points from 34 points.
SD Huesca are out of the relegation zone after recording a slim 1-0 victory over Real Sociedad Estadio de Alcoraz.
Sandro Ramirez netted the winner for the home side with three minutes remaining.
Huesca are level on points (30) with 18th placed Valladolid who have placed a game less.
Real Sociedad are just outside the Champions League places as they have amassed 53 points from 34 games.
