PSG Director of Sport, Leonardo has said he is keen to see Cristiano Ronaldo join PSG amidst reports that the Portuguese superstar could be offloaded by Italian giants, Juventus.
Italian media outlet, La Gazzetta dello Sport has reported that Ronaldo could leave Juventus at the end of the 2020/21 season. Leonardo belies the deal could happen but only on one condition.
“As for Ronaldo, if he wakes up in the morning and says: ‘I want to join a new team,’ where can he go?” Leonardo said.
“There are only five or six clubs he can join, it’s a closed circle and PSG are including in it. We always prepare our market and our list of priorities, sometimes extraordinary things can happen.”
According to Tuttosport, neither Ronaldo nor Juventus want to part ways at the end of the season with the Portuguese star who reportedly wants to stay and win the Champions League with the Old Lady before leaving.
A report from La Gazzetta dello Sport, however, states Ronaldo’s future in Turin depends on the team’s results this season.
“If the results Ronaldo expects won’t arrive he could take a look around with PSG that would be a possible destination,” the Milan-based paper reports.
