Italian club, SSC Napoli have confirmed that Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen has dislocated his shoulder. Osimhen picked up the injury last Friday (November 13) during Nigeria’s 4-4 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Sierra Leone in Benin.

Osimhen subsequently missed the reverse fixture in Freetown, four days later, electing to return to Naples to conduct scans on the injury. Results have now revealed that the 21-year-old attacker has dislocated his shoulder but will not require surgery before returning to full fitness.

Osimhen conducted the scans and also had medical examinations at Rome’s Villa Stuart. The Serie A forward has scored two goals for Napoli this season.
