Nigeria league: Enyimba, Rivers held to draws.

Enyimba and Rivers United picked up respectable draws in their respective rescheduled games in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) on Wednesday (March 4).

Enyimba were held to a 1-1 draw by Warri Wolves in Ozoro with the hosts reduced to ten men in the first half after Efe Yahere was sent off for a second bookable offence. Jackson Eru put the hosts in front in the 24th minute but the visitors leveled matters in the final minute of first-half additional time.

The result leaves the Wolves deeply entrenched in relegation trouble as they occupy 19th spot in the 20 team log with 13 points from 13 matches. Enyimba are in 13th place on the standings with 24 points from 12 matches.

Rivers United put up a gutsy display to claim a point in Jos after a 1-1 draw against Plateau United. Chika Godwin put the visitors in front with a well-taken effort on 18 minutes but the hosts were level after Mustapha Ibrahim converted a penalty with just over nine minutes remaining.

The result leaves Plateau United dangerously hovering over the drop zone as they are just two points away from safety. Plateau are in 13th position having amassed 16 points from 13 matches while Rivers United remain in eighth place with 19 points from 12 matches.

In Uyo, Isaac George scored a 66th-minute winner as Dakkada FC came from behind to beat Wikki Tourists 2-1 at the Goodwill Akpabio International Stadium. Idris Mohammed Guda gave the visitors the lead in the 20th minute but the home side hit back through Austin Osayande, three minutes before the break.

Dakkada are in seventh place with 20 points from 13 games. Wikki are in 15th with 16 points from 13 games.
