Roma in pursuit of Victor Moses

Nigerian winger, Victor Moses could join Serie A club, AS Roma next season according to multiple reports in Italy. Moses is currently contracted to Chelsea but he has not played for the Blues since 2018.

The 29-year-old sealed a temporary move to Inter Milan in January after his 18-month loan deal with Turkish side Fenerbahce was cut short and it has now been rumoured that he may remain in Italy with Rome looking to be his next destination.

The winger linked up with his former boss at Chelsea, Antonio Conte at the San Siro but a thigh injury has limited him to 14 appearances and just six starts and he is likely to return to Stamford Bridge at the end of his loan.

Calciomercato reported that while Moses has one year left on his Chelsea contract, Roma are lining up a move. The outlet claims the club are looking to add reinforcements on their right flank, despite Alessandro Florenzi returning from a loan spell with Valencia.

Roma boss Paulo Fonseca has also brought Bruno Peres back from a spell with Brazilian side Sport Recife meaning Moses would likely come in as a back-up choice.

Inter have three Serie A games remaining and are still in the Europa League, where they face Spanish side Getafe in the last-16.
Despite suffering with injuries, Moses has managed four assists in nine league games for the Italian side.

Moses signed for Chelsea in 2012 but has been sent out on loan five times during his eight-year spell, spending time with Liverpool, Stoke and West Ham before his recent moves to Fenerbahce and Inter.

His most successful season in a Chelsea shirt came during Conte’s reign with the manager converting him to a right wing-back, helping the club win the Premier League title in 2017.
