Tuesday’s UCL wrap: Bayern tame Salzburg as Monchengladbach humiliate Shakhtar

Champions, FC Bayern Munich came from a goal down to beat plucky Austrian kings, Red Bull Salzburg 6-2 in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday. 
The hosts started well at the Red Bull Arena and took the lead through Mergim Berisha in fourth minute.
Bayern are however made of stern stuff and were soon on level terms as Robert Lewandowski struck from the penalty spot on 21 minutes.
Enterprising play by the visitors saw them take the lead just before halftime as a deft Lewandowski flick freed Muller whose devilish cross was diverted into his own net by Rasmus Kristensen.
The hosts would not go down without a fight and pulled level in the 66th minute through Masaya Okugawa.
The overall class of Bayern then came to the fore as Jerome Boateng, Leroy Sane and Lucas Hernandez netted late on with Lewandowski completing his brace with two minutes remaining.
In Ukraine, Shakhtar Donetsk  were pummeled 6-0 by German club, Borussia Dortmund.
Alassane Plea was the hero for the German club as he netted a hattrick to power his side past the hapless Ukrainiane.
FC Porto beat Marseille 3-0 at the Estadio do Dragaó with the luckless Dmitry missing a penalty in the 10th minute.
Moussa Marega and Sergio Oliviera and Luiz Diaz were the goalscoring contributors for the Portuguese side.
Rodrigo scored the winner with barely nine minutes remaining as Real Madrid beat Inter 3-2 in a cracking tie at the Estadio Alfredo di Stefano.
There was a landmark as captain, Sergio Ramos scored his 100th goal for Real Madrid.
Mohammed Salah equalled Stephen Gerrard’s record as top scorer for Liverpool in the Champions League as the Reds steamrolled Atalanta 5-0 in Bergamo.
Manchester City beat Olympiakos 2-0 at the Etihad with Ferran Torres remarkably continuing his good run of scoring in every UEFA Champions League game for City since he joined the club.
Ajax beat FC Midtjylland 2-1 with Dusan Tadic netting thr winner on the quarter hour while Atletico Madrid drew 1-1 against Locomotive Moscow in Russia.
