  • Inter Milan are edging closer to their first Serie A title under Antonio Conte after a second half double helped them to a 2-0 win at bottom placed Crotone.
Danish international Christian Eriksen opened the scoring in the 69th minute thanks to an assist from the in-form Belgian attacker Romelu Lukaku.
Moroccan wing-back Achraf Hakimi then made the points safe in the second minute of second half stoppage time as Inter extended their lead at the top of the standings.
The win means the Nerrazzuri have now amassed 82 points, 13 points clear above their rivals, second placed AC Milan who refused to allow Inter’s title party come early.
Milan rose to second on the standings after a comfortable 2-0 home win against Benevento.
Hakan Çalhanoglu and Theo Hernández were the goalscoring heroes for Stefano Pioli’s charges.
An 86th minute goal from Riccardo Saponara helped Spezia force a one-all draw with Hellas Verona.
Verona took the lead immediately after the restart through an Eddie Salcedo goal but Spezia had the last laugh with Saponara stepping up to score his side’s equaliser in the 86th minute.
Spezia are now in 15th place on the log with 34 points amassed while Hellas Verona remain in the top half of the standings.
Verona are ninth on the log with 42 points following the shared points.
